Quartet No. 11

Quartet No. 11 is the final part of a triptych named after Shostakovich string quartets 8, 10 and 11, which the choreography is based on. The basic elements of the triptych are movement and music. The ambition is to read the music as closely as possible. Each part of the triptych has a colour that corresponds to a subjective interpretation of the musical works. Eight is red, ten orange and eleven violet. Quartet No. 11 had its first performance in 2004 at the Swedish Royal Opera in Stockholm.
