Mozarts Requiem

Skånes Dansteater

2019

Delaying on the steps in a world that is not life, is not dead. On the ledge, weighing between two states. Here, the acclaimed and award-winning choreographer Örjan Andersson creates a rich and sonorous work for Skåne's Dance Theater, Malmö Opera Choir and Malmö Opera Orchestra. Join us in one of classical music history's most mythical and beloved works. Örjan Andersson takes Mozart's monumental Requiem in his hand and lets dancers, singers and musicians sweep you through darkness, cheers, sadness and gratitude. Together with, among others, Bente Lykke Møller (scenography and costume), he creates a changeable dance experience, full of life. "He is emotionally explosive, playful, fast-paced, entertaining but above all musical", "an artist with a strong and innovative approach" motivated the Artists' Committee when Örjan Andersson was awarded the Gannevik Scholarship 2018. He tours the world with his own company Andersson Dance. This autumn, it's finally Malmö's turn again.
